This Site:
I've created this website
to chronicle my car hobby and it's turned into a hobby in
and of itself. So bellow are some information about creating
websites.
These are some of the resources
used to create this website
www.glish.com
- Insisting everyone steal their code. (Good CSS cut a paste)
www.dynamicdrive.com
- For DHTML menus and effects. (Were I got my menu. A work
of art. Very customizable.)
www.w3.org
- W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) has lots of helpful learning
pages.
Some tricks I've learned
along the way
Menus - If you look hard
enough you can find a menu that suits you without any licensing
problems. Just keep looking and trying. My menu as it appears
is very different from the demo I was shown. Think structure
not looks and I'm sure you'll run into a menu structured the
way you want and customizable enough to make it look the way
you want.
CSS - CSS is very difficult
to create from scratch and have it work across all browsers.
However you can do very interesting things with it. It's like
tables without tables.
Back to top - Make a link
to "#top" on a page and when clicked you'll go to
the top of the page.
